
Dr. Leonard Tachmes was born in Havana, Cuba and raised in Miami Beach. A graduate of Miami Beach Senior High School, he received his BS degree from Duke University, and his MD degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.
He completed an internship in surgery at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, N.Y.; a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Chicago Hospitals and in General Surgery at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. He completed his fellowship in Plastic Surgery of the Breast and Reconstructive Microsurgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan.
Dr. Tachmes is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery
and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
He is author/co-author of fourteen scientific research papers published
in various journals of medicine and surgery. He has been in practice
in Miami since 1994.
Dr Leonard Tachmes specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face and
body. The Practice philosophy centers around providing excellent care
and service to all our patients in a professional and respectful
environment.
His interests include surgical and non-surgical treatments of the aging
face, breast aesthetic and revisional surgery, male chest and abdominal
wall aesthetic surgery, ultrasonic Vaser liposuction for body
contouring, abdominoplasty procedures and skin cancer reconstructive
procedures of the face.
